Fun at the Sydney International Boat Show 2017

The 50th Sydney International Boat Show was a great success.

The Beneteau stand had a prime position in Darling Harbour and was buzzing with activity on all days. It was lovely to meet so many friendly faces both familiar and new … some who had travelled from the far corners of the globe especially for this event.

Of course, we had the Beneteau sail range well represented with the Oceanis 38.1, 41.1 and 45 … and the Sense 50.

Our inboard power range had three superior Beneteau models on display. The Gran Turismo 40 was greatly admired for her stylish lines, luxurious open plan living and exquisite interiors, with anticipation building for the world premiere of her big sisters the new Gran Turismo 50 and Gran Turismo 50 Sportfly at Cannes in September.

The exciting addition to the line-up was the Swift Trawler 50 – a world premiere at the Boat Show and an impressive sight. The huge flybridge was a hit with prime views across Darling Harbour and the rest of the Boat Show. And there were many chats about where this long-distance cruiser would take her next owners!

Her smaller sister, the Swift 30, was also a popular choice as an affordable, accessible option for cruising couples.

Graham Raspass commented,

“We had lots of visitors and caught up with our wonderful community of Beneteau owners and it was also great to welcome many new owners. We had almost 50% more visitors compared to last year. Thank you all for coming; it was a great show!

On the Saturday night over 100 people attended the exclusive Beneteau soiree where we revealed the future direction of Beneteau. Exciting times ahead! A huge thanks to all who joined us.”

Until next year …
